Pangya Headquarters Editorials
xx Pangya Solutions: Part I
December 17, 2006, 10:46:21 AM by Geoff
Whoo~ To revive the dead editorials, I'm answering a couple questions asked to me over time!

Pangya Solutions! You've got pars, we've got birdies!

All the answers are in my personal opinion, but you are free to discuss anything in this thread.

Q1) What's the best way to consistantly hit Pangya?
A1) I personally do one of two things.
1. I keep my eye on the pink spot and have fast reflexes as soon as the bar hits the white part.
2. My eyes follow the bar itself, and it keeps steady with the motion, so when it finally reaches the white part, I'm able to hit Pangya most of the time.

If the bar is jumping (isn't steady), and you haven't done so already, reset your computer and close all non-related applications down (ctrl+alt+del). This should help the program out and be able to give you fluid bar movements.

Q2) What's the best character to go with?
A2) It all depends on the course and your style of Gameplay.

I personally like to go with my Arin for all courses except for Silvia Cannon because of her high control and medium-high accuracy. Everything else is up to par with everyone else.

For Silvia Cannon, I like to use Max or Kooh, because I've upgraded their 1W drive to go 260y, which is extremely helpful for long drives needed in that course.

Other players like using Scout/Hana because of their accuracy and well-rounded stats. Other people use Uncle Bob because of his high spin and high power.

In all, it all depends on what your gameplay style is, and who you feel most comfortable with. (Meaning don't just choose the pretty lady just because she'll give you something to look at in your space time. :D)

Q3) What's the best spin/curve amount to go with?
A3) Once again, it all depends on what YOU feel most comfortable with.

I personally use 7 spin and 7 curve. If I could, I would put as much curve as humanly possible, but keep my spin at 7. The reason I want to keep it at 7 is because I can go the maximum amount of spin and if the ball lands right next to the hole, it'll always go into the hole (it won't ever roll over it).

Other players, however, enjoy more than 7 spin (some even go above 20 spin) because of the longer drive. Some people are able to accurantly adjust the spin to act like 7, so they can get chip-ins easily as well. (Tip: Enable to act like 7 backspin, the blue line above the blue dot must touch the slope line.)

Q4) Why don't the GMs fix the D/C bug? It's been going on since I began playing, and I'm tired of it.
A4) I personally get disconnected alot. Even though I very rarely quit a game on purpose, I still have a 2.7% quit rate.

However, I (now) have full faith that the GMs are doing everything within their power to fix this bug. The GMs claim that nearly every update is a new attempt to fix the bug, and saves many people the agony of D/Cing during the middle of a match.

You have to keep in mind that this is a free game, and with that in mind, I believe the GMs are doing a great job keeping in touch with the community and doing what they can to help better please it.

Hopefully this editorial answers many questions being asked! Please reply below with any questions/comments/suggestions/death threats you might have!

xx How to submit an editoral!
November 17, 2006, 09:14:35 PM by Geoff
Here's something exclusive to PHQ! Pangya Editorials.

Pangya Editorials are essentially YOUR opinions on anything to do with the Pangya/Albatross18 universe. You can talk about anything anyhow you want, and there will be very little censorship. (Other from cursing censorship which will turn into astricks.)

One written editoral (all appropiate editorials will be chosen at some time) occasionally to appear on the front page of Pangya Headquarters where all our visitors can read/comment on them!

How to submit an editoral?
1. Write it. It can be any length/size.
2. Proofread! It's much better to read a well-written essay.
3. Submit it either by PMing me on the Pangya HQ forums or by e-mailing me at geoffmendicino[at]yahoo.com

Hopefully this can really take off and the opinions of all the Pangya people can be heard!
